    Humpty Dumpty’s Fall

    What is one of your favorite nursery rhymes?  Mine was Humpty Dumpty.  I loved how the limericks had a certain flow to them.  I also loved the idea of the king’s men being around trying to figure out how to put him back together.  The idea of an egg sitting on wall, falling off and having others try to put back together can seem up-surd now, but as a little kid I loved it.  The one thing that bothered me was how did Humpty Dumpty fall?  Was he messing around?  Did He fall asleep? Or Did someone push him?  I guess this will always be one of those mysteries of life.
