Save the date invitations – a must-have for my destination wedding

My fiance and I traveled to Barbados last year and L.O.V.E.D. it! The first time we strolled along the beach I knew we were going to hold the ceremony right there, with our toes in the warm sand and surf. One of the snags in planning our dream destination wedding was making sure everyone we loved could be there with us. Hotel reservations, work and school schedules, pet sitters…we knew they’d have a lot to coordinate if they were going to come. That’s why we mailed save the date invitations six months in advance. It gave family and friends plenty of time to make travel plans, and I’m so relieved knowing that our loved ones will be able to share our special day with us.
