    Costly hobby

    I recently applied for a life term insurance policy and the insurer then wrote back to me requesting an absolute mountain of questions about my favourite hobby that I disclosed on my application which is abseiling. Despite the fact I answered every question in as much detail as possible they have still decided to increase my premium almost four fold which is absolutely scandalous considering I only ever do this once or twice a year. I could have easily left that piece of information off of the application form and they would never have known but it appears you pay for displaying any sort of honesty!
