Cycle race causes a few traffic issues

I couldn’t believe that nearly all of the rotorua accommodation houses were booked out for the long weekend. I had to phone around quite a few of them before I found a place that had any vacancies and even then it was not particularly close to town. I couldn’t figure out why it was so busy that weekend, but then I remembered that they were holding a huge cycle race there. This turned out to cause a bit of hassle for us as they closed off quite a few roads which made it difficult for us to get in and out of town. We still had a nice time away none the less.
